Comments/Questions:
Comment: As a husband, father of 3, businessman, and son taking care of his elderly mother I found this interview very encouraging and motivating. Can Dean Taylor tell me what books he could recommend on this subject of balancing a busy life?
Henry J.
Beck Taylor: I wish I could say that my practices were the result of a lot of educated reading and wisdom from people more wise than I, but honestly, a lot of trial and error (mostly error) has allowed me to juggle my many responsibilities. However, there are some formative books on viewing professional life as a calling that are fantastic. A short bibliography follows…
Joy at Work, by Dennis W. Bakke
Receiving the Day, by Dorothy C. Bass
Vocation, by Douglas J. Schuurman
The Other Six Days, by R. Paul Stevens
Beleaguered Rulers, by William F. May
